One Sweet Half

For some reason I thought it was a great idea to train and then run a half marathon. Well, it turned out to be a VERY good idea! I signed up for a training group and got ME time twice a week...and had a blast! Made some great new friends and whipped my body back into shape. May 15th, I ran in the Marine Corps Historic Half and finished in 2:39. Pretty damn proud of myself!

You get a Gold Star for running a half marathon!! As a cancer survivor I am convinced that a big reason that I came out of my surgeries as well as I did was that I kept working out. I recently posted a guest article on my blog about this if you're interested.

All the best!

You need to have T-shirts made with "8 years, 2 cancers, + 3 kids..." - it's a great mantra/slogan.
